ATIA Continuing Education Credits

Boost Professional Development Credentials

The ATIA Learning Center offers continuing education credits (CEUs) toward professional development requirements with live and recorded courses. The Learning Center allows you to store your CEU certificates in one easy-to-access location, and all course registration fees include CEUs.

Each course description within the Learning Center includes the CEU types that course is eligible for. The CEU Assessment(s) must be completed for each CEU type you’d like to claim credit for before the access to your course(s) expires.

Alternately, you can browse the Learning Catalog by CEU type using the drop-down options at the top of the page.

IACET CEUs

Accredited IACET Provider (IACET) logoATIA is an International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) CE Provider.  Each hour of online education instruction equates to 0.1 IACET CEU, and hours are rounded to the nearest tenth of an IACET CEU; for example, a 90-minute course equates to 0.2 IACET CEUs.

IACET CEUs are offered for most online courses. Upon completion of a course, learners must complete an online IACET CEU assessment. Once the learner has passed the assessment, the IACET CEU certificate will be available to download. All IACET CEU certificates earned are stored in the learner’s profile.

IACET CEUs are accepted as a Continuing Education requirement for renewing RESNA’s ATP (Assistive Technology Professional) Certification. Learn more here.

*Please note that ATIA issues an ASHA Certificate of Attendance upon successful completion of an ASHA CEU assessment and not does issue ASHA CEUs.

After a learner successfully completes an ASHA CEU Assessment, the learner is awarded an ASHA Certificate of Attendance.  After review by ATIA, learner records are transmitted to ASHA for processing. ASHA posts ASHA CEUs to an individual’s ASHA CE Transcript. Please allow 4-6 weeks for the processing of ASHA CEUs.

To ensure successful processing of ASHA CEUs by ASHA, it is critical to include your ASHA Membership number in your registration application. Registrations or learner records that do not include an ASHA Membership number may be subject to delays in posting to the ASHA CE Registry.

ASHA Credits Missing from your ASHA CE Transcript for an ATIA Activity?

  • Has the deadline passed for claiming CEU credit for an ATIA activity?
  • Have you allowed 4-6 weeks for record processing?
  • Still don’t see your credits reflected in your ASHA CE Transcript?
  • If so, please reach out to us at ceus@atia.org. We can assist in gathering the information needed for you to complete an ASHA Participant Appeal. Upon submission of the appeal to ASHA, ASHA will review and determine if CEUs will be granted.

To participate in the continuing education program and earn ASHA CEUs, subscribers must pay an annual ASHA CE Registry fee. CE Registry fees are paid by the participant directly to the ASHA National Office. The ASHA fee allows registration to an unlimited number of ASHA CEUs earned in a calendar year.

Please visit the ASHA CE Registry web page for more details on the ASHA CE Registry and its fees.
